Macro Flowers Saturday is hosted here
I am an oil painter living and painting on the windward side of the Big Island of Hawai'i. When not painting, I can be found dashing here and there, always with a camera handy to capture images of this beautiful landscape. I find great joy in playing with color, particularly the vibration when two brilliant colors meet. I want to explore this, push this as far as I can. The intense light and color in Hawai'i constantly inspire me, as does the lushness of the Hawaiian landscape~~~the millions of greens, the brilliant light, and the deep soft shadows.

Oh, Oh, Oh...so beautiful! Aloha to you in Hilo town!
Maybe not crazy, but very beautiful! Not exactly what we can find in our forests :-) /Anette
These are such beautiful flowers! We are actually able to grow them here and I have tried with limited luck. But I do love these flowers!
Great photos.
What a beautiful capture(s) of this stately flower! Very nice macro! Aloha!
Such a rich a vibrant colour! Your hibiscus seems a lot softer than the one I know here in Australia. Ours seems to have a more crinkled effect! Beautiful photos!
